Doctor of Education (EdD) programme - details on News & Events page

The Doctor of Education (EdD) is an innovative, part-time programme
with a strong focus on social justice and social inclusion.
It is aimed at those who have 3 or more years’ employment experience
in an education role (e.g. as teachers, managers, staff developers,
careers officers) and who already hold a masters qualification (or
equivalent).
The course is designed to meet the needs of busy educational
professionals, and includes both a taught element, with six modules
covering key areas of educational research and policy, and an
individual thesis. It is comparable to the PhD in terms of scale and
rigour and takes a minimum of four years to complete.
