“The Head Works” programme (formerly Headrest) is run by the Kent Teach Team and is sponsored by Towergate Insurance. The programme includes an exciting new management tool called PackTypes® as well as developing KCC’s existing wellness management programme for all Kent School Staff. The Head Works programme is aimed at Kent Headteachers and members of their Senior Management Teams. It was initially launched due to concerns that Headteachers are very good at looking after everybody and everything in their schools except for themselves. So the agenda that has been put together focuses on personal wellness and management techniques aimed at reducing stress. The events devote workshop sessions to Personal Wellbeing and Wellbeing Management including a speaker or demonstration to help Headteachers relax and unwind. The speaker for our next event to be held on 16th March 2012 is Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, one of Great Britain’s most successful paralympians.
