The Department for Education has announced the closure of the Golden Hello Scheme for all trainees starting their initial teacher training (ITT) in the academic year 2011/12 and beyond. Additional Specialism Incentive Scheme was introduced in July 2008 as an incentive to increase the supply of Maths, Chemistry and Physics Teachers.
Trainees who started their postgraduate ITT course before 1 August 2011 will continue to be able to make their application for the Golden Hello Scheme under the current terms and conditions
If you wish to claim a Golden Hello, you need to fill in the application form from your ITT provider. Additonal Incentive Specialsim claim forms are available from course providers and should be sent to the address below.
