Are you somebody who would take pride in ensuring that our school sites provide the best environment for children to learn? Do you have a good knowledge of building maintenance and repair?

Sholden CE Primary School and Worth Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual who uses their initiative to join the team.

The salary will be Kent Range 4 (actual salary £7,332), term time only and occasional need in the school holidays paid as overtime.

Hours are: 10 hours per week at Sholden CE Primary School and 5hrs at Worth Primary School.  Hours to be agreed with Headteachers.

You will be responsible for safety, security, facilities and liaising with contractors as well as the general maintenance needs of the school and grounds, duties include:- 

 

  • Unlocking/locking the school. To act as key holder, which could also include responding to 'call out' when the alarm sounds out of hours
  • Maintaining all areas of our school site both internally and externally including redecoration, small repairs
  • Carrying out routine checks
  • Liaising with Central Services Team
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Arranging for annual inspections e.g. gas, asbestos
  • Ensuring the outside areas are kept tidy
  • Maintaining stocks of consumables e.g. toilet rolls, paper towels, replacing consumables e.g. lightbulbs and batteries
  • Working flexibly to support school events e.g. parents evenings, PTFA events. Attend training courses as required
