Wilmington Grammar School for Girls was founded in 1958, our school has been helping girls to secure outstanding academic results and providing a well-rounded experience for over half a century.  The school encourages a happy and harmonious community which respects the individual and celebrates the rich diversity of backgrounds and heritage of students and staff. 

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Psychology teacher to lead our A Level Psychology provision.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Psychology curriculum and how this can be taught in an inspiring way to maximise exam success, whilst developing a love for the subject at A level. We are looking for someone who can spark students’ passion for the subject, and to help students to lead successful future lives. The ability to extend students’ engagement beyond the school day, through extra-curricular would be an advantage.

 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for teaching psychology with evidence of enabling students to surpass expectations.
  • Have experience in teaching classroom psychology at Key Stage 4 & 5 with a good curriculum knowledge and understanding of GCSE and A-Level Psychology requirements.
  • Have experience of using data to push students to (and beyond) their targets.
