Advert

What's that coming over the hill is it a TEACHER, is it a TEACHER!!!!

Hello, and welcome to our advert for a KS2 teacher. We realise we only have a short period of time before current teachers can hand notices in etc but we really, really would like a teacher to join us for a September start at Phoenix Community Primary School in Ashford.

Although we can't offer palm trees and staff meetings on the beach we can offer all the hot water you can use and we will even supply the coffee or tea to go with it!

What we need is a vibrant, passionate and hardworking teacher who will be part of our team and grow with us. You must have a sense of humour and you must have the drive to want to make children's school experience the best it can be.

We are looking for the right fit regardless of experience and we are willing to set wages in line with that experience, this would include possible UPS for the right candidate, but we would be equally open to a fantastic ECT under the right circumstances. Again, to attract the right candidate, this could be a flexible position and be either full time or 0.8 (4 days) if necessary.

Our kids deserve the best and if you feel like riding to our rescue like a that guy from Sleeping Beauty then please do contact us to discuss or arrange a school visit on 01233 622510 and ask to speak to Mr Robichaud (The Headteacher) or email him on headteacher@phoneix-primary.kent.sch.uk

We can't wait to meet you and begin our adventure together.

We do reserve the right to end the advert early if the vacancy is filled before the deadline.

Information about the school

Phoenix Community Primary School is a one-form entry school situated on the outskirts of Ashford. We benefit from extensive grounds and a well set out modern building. The school is well-resourced and, as such, is able to provide opportunities for children significantly beyond that of the National Curriculum. The majority of visitors comment on the warm, friendly atmosphere and the attractive environment.

As a member of the CARE Foundation Trust, we work closely with nine other primary schools in our local area. The school places a high emphasis on the Creative Arts. We have our own Music Studio where all children have weekly lessons with specialist music teachers and where subsidised instrument lessons are offered to pupils.

The school invests heavily in ICT with three sets of 32 iPads, which are used on a daily basis, and each classroom is fitted with a Clever Touch interactive TV. Pupils also receive specialist sports and computing teaching and our school supports the emotional well-being of pupils with structured pastoral provision. At Phoenix, we pride ourselves in being a welcoming and safe environment for all of our community: pupils, parents, wider family, staff and visitors as well as a school that is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of its pupils.

The school is commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the relevant safeguarding checks will be undertaken prior to confirmation of any job offer.
